jcpenneys, hair salons, and i recently saw them at walgreens locked up by the register in the beauty section. I bought mine off ebay for about 70 dollars. I used to have a conair and chi's are much much better!

To find a chi::: use the internet or ask your hairstylist (
About comparing, just ask ALOT of people. (remembering that your results will vary because of hair and uses)

MY personal experience: i had a conair for about a year, it always worked fine, until recently which it will no longer straighten well. It is also bulkier, so it ONLY straightens, unlike the "curling" advantage of the chi. All of my friends that have chi's love them && their hair TRULY looks better!!! <<
Good luck!!!

Ulta or online

chi is wayyyy better than conair cuz chi is a lot more money and just a better straitner in general. i heard that they dont last very long, but most last for a long time

conairs r ok but not compareable to a chi

if u can afford a chi...get it!!!

good luck finding a good one!!!!

I bought my CHI straightener from Trade Secret. But I saw a website called folica.com that you can purchase them at a much more reasonable price than I paid 2 years ago. I love my CHI and I will never purchase a different brand. It's the best in my opinion. I have the original model & I love it! :)

You can order them on the internet or you can get one through most stylists at a salon. If you order it on the internet, it will be much cheaper (that is where I got mine). Just do a search for Chi and it should come up. The parent company for Chi is Farouk.

You can go online and search for a retailer that sells them. My daughter wanted one really badly for Christmas so I asked our sylist about them and also researched them on the web. What I found out, basically is that they don't last very long at all. Many people had theirs stop working within the first 3 months. The reason is that they heat up so fast and so very hot that the heating element just wears out too quickly. We bought one of the Remington "wet to straight" ones instead and she's been very happy with it. I wouldn't waste that kind of money on a Chi if it didn't last very long. Good luck.

in case you have truly thick coarse hair, it truly is truly useful to replace to a GHD which I hear is extra smart for thicker, curlier hair. I actual have a Chi and it truly works great for me yet I even have thick wavy hair and it starts to progressively wave back after a undeniable quantity of hours, somewhat if it truly is wet or very humid. My pal has truly curly hair and he or she offered the Chi and we used the two one among our Chis to straighten her hair and it took like a million a million/2 hours to straighten her finished head and it became an entire mess as quickly as we've been accomplished. like it became in the present day, yet a extensive bush haha. Then a pair hours after it have been given curly back via humidity and this became after a crapload of hair spray and whatnot. i do no longer comprehend, in case you get one, I especially propose one with a 30 day return coverage.

The best way my coworkers and i have found is to go through the auction site ebay. not only are they a decent price, but arrive to you nicely, last a long time and do the trick no matter what type of hair you have! make sure it's a farouk hair chi

Folica.com is a great site...but personally I think that the Solia flat iron is the best and a better value for the price. For a quick and inexpensive fix, try Remington Wet-to-dry straightener..works great! Its about $25-30 at target or other similar stores and you don't have to blow dry your hair!
