An American tourist took a taxi from Heathrow airport. When he got to London's Claridges Hotel, he pulled out a roll of English banknotes and said to the taxi driver. "My first time in Europe, your currency's a little unfamiliar." "That's okay Guv. Just peel off five or six of those pale purple ones, two or three orange coloured and a couple of blues.".

But from the sounds of it....the driver was taking all of the money from the poor lad.

This one, I am sorry to say, no. As I have come to find out self reliance is the only way you won't get taken advantage of. Everyone in the world is so self serving it makes me sick. There are a few good apples, but for the most part people only think of themselves. I wish the world would change.

Ok thats a good joke. But seriously i have found people are generally good and prepared to help a stranger. So do something good for some one and you get it back. Its nice to be nice you know what I mean good karma and all that shite.

I've done this quite frequently when I've traveled overseas. I have a general idea of the value of money, so they can't cheat me too badly, but I have never had anybody take advantage (that I know of).
