the position being a pope and all its concept is not written in the bible.

It is created by the Vatican.
The pope position is created to replace the position of Christ. its is written in the crown of the pope. I hope imacatholica2 don't deny this because he knew what is the meaning of the word wrtten in that crown.

The Bible doesn't mention the Pope. The Pope is an extention of the Apostle Paul, who was chosen to lead the church on earth when Jesus Ascended. The people expected that he would return within their lifetimes, and when he didn't, they continued the tradition of having a trusted, faithfull, holy man to lead the church.

And he says to him again after the resurrection, 'Feed my sheep.' It is on him that he builds the Church, and to him that he entrusts the sheep to feed. And although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single Chair, thus establishing by his own authority the source and hallmark of the (Church's) oneness. No doubt the others were all that Peter was, but a primacy is given to Peter, and it is (thus) made clear that there is but one flock which is to be fed by all the apostles in common accord. If a man does not hold fast to this oneness of Peter, does he imagine that he still holds the faith? If he deserts the Chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, has he still confidence that he is in the Church? This unity firmly should we hold and maintain, especially we bishops, presiding in the Church, in order that we may approve the episcopate itself to be the one and undivided

BINGO!!! Ya hit the nail on the head as to how christians are such hypocrites! Christ himself NEVER claimed to be the leader of God's church on earth; in fact he said no man is any closer to God than any other! Yet they not only instal a pope as "God's emmisary on earth"; allow preists to forgive sins (which ONLY God can do); pray to the dead on behalf of the living (saints) which is a sin; and have the audacity to change the sabboth from Sat (which was good enough for God, Moses, David, Noah, AND Christ) to Sunday- the pagan sunworshippers sabboth!! Christ, nor God, ever set up a heirchy of the church, MAN DID!

Just like "Trinity" and "Christianity", the word does not appear, but the concept does (Matthew 16:17-19 and John 21:15-17).

You're right. It's not there. But, neither are alot of things that are modern, like modern plumbing. Are you getting rid of your toilet? Your computer isn't in the Bible, are you going to toss that? Oh, the newspaper, that's not in there either. The desk you are using. I don't think that is in there either. You cannot use that logic for one thing without applying it to everything that is modern. Many things are not in the Bible, but the concepts are what we have that can be applied to any age.

And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. -Matthew 16:18.
Peter was the first Pope. Appointed by Christ no less.

Paul mentioned him in the Book of Ephesians ..., “I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.”
