Does a velvet microfiber sofa a good material? any experience?

I have a microfiber sofa and will never buy one again! They do clean up well with some stains but oils don't come out. The armrests are stained where you rest your arm as well as the seat cushions where the backs of your legs rest. I do have a house full of teenagers so maybe that makes a difference. Also my cushions are one-sided and can't be flipped to extend the life of the fabric.

Microfiber materials are very popular right now for sofas and even dining chairs. The maintenance is easier than leather or real suede.
