I wish it did, but it doesn't. It's gone to those modern songs, which are nice, and my kids like them, but I wish they would sing some of the hymn, too.
I don't have a single favorite; I love so many.
I Sing the Mighty Power of God
Come, Ye Thankful People,Come
On Jordan's Stormy Banks
When We All Get to Heaven
This World is Not My Home
Jubilee (I can't get the words to this one--anybody have them?)
Glory to His Name
Because He Lives
My Savior's Love
It is Well With My Soul
Victory in Jesus
Savior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us
Precious Lord, Take My Hand
Be Thou My Vision
Blessed Assurance
Just As I Am (all 100 verses!)
Revive Us Again
TheChurch's One Foundation
Standing on the Promises
He Lives
Just about all the Christmas carols
Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed?
Jesus Paid it All
And Can It Be?
Grace Greater Than Our Sin
Amazing Grace
Are You Washed in the Blood?
The Old Rugged Cross
In the Cross of Christ I Glory
All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name
O For a Thousand Tongues
I guess I got a little carried away. Maybe I should go back to kindergarten and relearn how to count to one! But it's so hard to choose.

When I was a Christian, my two favorites were "Gather Us In" because the fourth verse contains this line, 'not in the dark of buildings confining, not in some heaven lightyears away,' that always sent chills down my spine and "Lord of the Dance" which was originally a Quaker's hymn.
-------------
godsindigobutterfly: 'Here I Am Lord' is a classic, certainly one of the more beautiful ones in the hymnals I used to use when I was younger. When I was readying to enter seminary, I'd already chosen that song to be the precessional for my ordination... never quite got there though but still...

Amazing Grace How Sweet the Sound
that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind but now I see
When we've been there ten thousand years
bright shining as the Sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
than when we've first begun.

Dear Blessed,
I think Primoa1970 mentioned most of my favorites.
One other favorite that we haven't sung in the past several months is Standing on the Promises of God. I don't think we've sung it since our previous pianist moved to FL last September. He did such a great job of playing and I always felt that our heavenly Father was especially pleased as He listened.

I have several favorites. "Be Thou My Vision", "Come ye Sinners (I will Arise)", "Here I am Lord" and "Hymn of Promise" Those would be my favorite. I'm United Methodist by the way. I perfer the traditional service over the contemporary even though I do attend it sometimes as well.
