Play games with your son by using pens and papers; let your son experience the fun side of writing; try drawing or colouring in instead of writing; praise him when he has done something on the paper with a pen; lower your expectation; give heaps of positive encouragement; try say things in positive instead of negative; reward him straight away when he has done a great job.

My daughter is five and she doesn't like writing, I keep asking her to practise, if she didn't practise for few days, she even misspell her name. I told her that practise make prefect and I even told her that she is a clever girl but people may think she is stupid if she can not write. I usually ask her to write five words a day and draw a simple picture after each word. Then I give her a sweet (her favourite reward) after finish the writing exercise and she loves it.

First off, I am very, very concerned that your 4 year old is bringing home homework. Also, that anyone is FORCING this child to write. Writing is something to be enjoyed! It's something that, when left alone, kids will naturally want to do. Forcing him to work at it for such long time periods at this young age will only accomplish one thing - he will hate writing. Likely for the rest of his life, if this keeps up.

That said, find things that he will want to write about. A lot of 4 year old boys are into police officers - have him write speeding tickets or other citations. If he likes cooking, write recipes or grocery lists together. Make sure he sees YOU writing - when he says something interesting, write it down. If he makes up a story, write it down (and tell him that you're doing so). I have a couple of students who pretend they are in a rock band - I interview them and we write down the words to their songs together. Even if he's just making scribbles to represent written words, that's a step in the right direction!

Please, please don't force this. If the child is in preschool, I would honestly recommend finding someplace that doesn't push him so hard. It will come naturally if you let it - he will see it's utility if he isn't forced to do it at all times. Stop threatening him, stop scaring him, stop bribing him, and just show him how writing can be useful and FUN.

appears like colic. My son had an similar element. it will be up until eventually the toddler is 6 months previous. Do you've a swing? try letting him sleep in that and observe if that helps. My son became on Enfamil A.R. and this helped too. they have gasoline drops for you to purchase that could also help with the colic. they're uncertain what motives colic and what the reason being for it. To my expertise it has to do with to a lot gasoline interior the tummy. do not feed them earlier mattress. this would make it worse.. We extensively utilized Chamomile and peppermint tea for his bottles. it really is not any longer reliable only sufficient ease the tummy. Peppermint is a organic antacid. We placed 3 teabags in line with gallon of water. We made the water by the gallon so we would not ought to do it for each meal. make positive you warmth the water a a million/2 hour earlier you'll feed it to him and combine the formula. this type the formula will correct disolve. try it on your hand to make positive it really is the right temperature for the toddler. Luke warmth is suitable. If this maintains i'd take him to the final practitioner.

Buy a Black bokard at home and give him a chalk. You all become students and collect more students for him amongst your friends and his elder friends. Ask him to play teacher. Not necessary that he will start writing immediately. A day or two will pass during which he will immitate all acts of his teacher except her writing skills, but after that he will start writing that in the black board. You take it in your not book from his black board. Ask him to check your works. He will automatically do it pretending that he is correcting you.
But you need three qualities for doing this 1st and formost is patience, 2nd is patience, and the third is also invariably patience,
All the best,

4 1/2 is too young he needs to mature but then, I know that people register their children in the schools in India before they are born, this is not right but it is the trend with upper class and even middle class is mimicking it. Do not let him burn out at young age.

There is time for every thing, it is time for him to play.

Put him in play school, let him play a little, my children were writing on side work on their own all of a sudden when they got interested and neighbours child found a chalk. We had to scrub the side walk and go and get them writing material and explain them to use only those things.

Boys do not have the motor skills at 4 years to have great handwriting skills. It is also uncomfortable for them to try to write for the same reason. More appropriate activities for your son would be to play with clay, rolling, stretching, pulling the clay, 'writing letters' with his fingers in a small shoebox filled with sand, or tracing sand letters and numbers on cards.
See if you have a teacher supply store in your city and you can find these items.
Good luck.
