I remember reading in the OT about the "brazen sea" or big thing of water for the high priests to wash in before they went in the temple. My questions on it are:

Was the washing cerimonial, or casual?

Did they just wash part of themselves (like their face and hands) or have a full on bath?

Thanks

Before the priests entered these ceremonial baths, they were already as clean as was possible. The purpose of the bath, and the washing of hands and feet, was to remove spiritual impurities.

The concepts of spiritual purity are, perhaps, the most difficult to understand as we, in modern day, largely have gotten out of the practice because, without the temple, the need for one to stay spiritually pure is much less and the ability to fully expunge oneself of all spirtual impurity is impossible without the Temple.

We still do that today, coz since the destruction of the temple each person is responsible to replace what was being done there.

so, there is a complete bosy purification, wich has to be done on rivers, sea, orr thinhs like that, and the greatest pious, do it up to seven times at day, i do it, like twice at month, some people once at year, some others never, but the idea is that water takes away all your strees, impurity, and else.

And theres is other one, wich goes only for hands, and its made when we wake up, before eating, after cuting your nails, etc, as a way to keep you clean, and healty.

On that time, were also the foot, but, since we uses shoes our feet get less dirty that walking with bare feet on sand.

What is the meaning of the ceremony more importance than the part of the body. Everything is now only a legance and difficult to proof. A forehead cross, washing head, or sinking into water to clean up. If you want to be cleaned up, this mind is already dirty, your mind will not be cleaned anymore. Your mind at least to have a clean and dirt inside.

Is this what you are looking for?

Exo 30:18 And you shall make a bronze laver for washing, and its base bronze. And you shall put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar; and you shall put water there.
Exo 30:19 And Aaron and his sons shall wash from it, their hands and their feet;
Exo 30:20 as they go into the tabernacle of the congregation they shall wash with water, and shall not die; or as they draw near to the altar to minister, to burn a fire offering to Jehovah.
Exo 30:21 And they shall wash their hands and their feet, and shall not die. And it shall be a never ending statute to them, to him and to his seed for their generations.

It was part of the law code they received. They washed up to their elbows.
