The Christian faith believes in a triune God. It is hard to grasp but the way the early Christians defined it was by the doctrine of homoousios which means one substance. The sun was used as an analogy to show that a solar flare that comes out from the sun (ie Jesus) is of the same substance as the sun and after it reunites with the source they become indistinguishable. Good Question. Do not confuse this with modalism which early Christians rejected that said the three parts of God are just different modes or representations of the same God.

Many people might look at the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as 1+1+1=3 makes sense right. In this case the equation is 1x1x1=1. I would go into more depth but it doesn't seem like you are really looking for an honest answer to begin with.

Actually christianity believes in 6....the holy trinity and the unholy trinity. But that's neither here nor there. Christian theologians have worked out a certain logic to explain the 3-in-1 concept that satisfies them. Non-trinitarians are genetically incapable of following the logic, but that's irrelavent. To the rest of us, 3-in-1 is household lubricant.

I had intended to answer you by giving you a thumbnail of Christian beliefs on the Trinity, but since you obviously have already made up your mind and simply want attention, I'll just give you the answer you already know and discount: Christianity believes in one God, three persons. Hence, MONOtheistic.

Christianity is considered monotheistic because it is not 3 Gods, but rather 3 aspects of the same God.

Christians do not believe in three gods. We believe in one God who has three parts to his identity, the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit. Much like I am a wife, a sister and a daughter.

Ok, one thing u have to understand, ONE GOD IN THREE DIFFERENT FORMS.
It is comparable to water:
H2O comes in 3 differnt forms but it is always H2O:
liquid (water)
solid(ice)
gas(water vapour
God comes in 3 different forms but is always God:
God the Father
Jesus
The Holy Spirit
Do u get it now, if u dont, dont worry about it, it wont make a differnce to ur life anyway....unless u accept God or atleast stop being so sour towards Chrsitians.

Good luck trying to make sense of anything that involves Christianity. It's a no-go! It is kinda weird that they have the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, though. Good point. Watch a lot of Christians argue semantics.

Christians pray to God, who claims to be three in one. Catholics may pray to many on the list above but don't lump Bible-believing/reading Christians in with heretics please who also venerate a man in a funny hat. 1 Timothy 2:5; John 1:1,14; Colossians 1:12-15 - Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: ...the above with Genesis 1:26-27 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. and also John1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. and lastly 1 John 5:7 - For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. You buy a pie, you cut the pie into three pieces, doesn't matter where the pieces go or what happens to the pieces, they are all remain separate pieces originating from the same pie...

Not 3 Gods! Three persons in one God. St. Patrick convinced the pagan King of Ireland with his symbol of the shamrock having one stem and three parts. One God, three persons. Remember God is spirit and not like us physically except in Jesus.
