I need to instal a new shower cubicle in my bathroom. I can keep the actual shower head where it is & have found a shower tray & cubicle costing about £300. Could someone advise me how much it will cost for me to hire someone to take out te existing cubicle and instal the new one? Just a rough estimate would be really helpful.

It is not difficult to remove the old cubicle yourself. All you have to do is locate the screws that are holding it together and start at the top and work your way down. You can also remove the shower tray if you can disconnect the trap underneath and cut out the sealant all around the tray.

It's almost impossible to answer this without seeing the location and the cubicle. Then find out how much plumbing is required and whether the walls and floor need attention and/or sealing.

If the pipe work underneath is in the right position for the new one then it will be a simple lift out lift in , then again if not and you have to retile then you are on to a different time scale, get some quotes off your local blokes , once they have seen the job they will give you price, each area is different believe me there are prices for plumbers that will astound you in some areas

any standard plumber could charge around £35 an hour, that,s without the cost of any other stuff like moving pipes for supply or drainage
