My brother was 29 when he met his wife who was 17. It was a match made in heaven. They have 2 boys together and seem to be very happy 10 years later.
If you love each other, there shouldn't be a problem being together. Sex before marriage is considered immoral, so the moral thing to do is to get married before having sex. If you guys aren't having sex, I don't see this relationship being immoral, and in that case, it's not illegal.

Its ok by me...lol in australia the legal age to give consent to a relationship is 16, but she is still under the age of 18, so her parents can either stop it or leave it alone. Its only 7 years difference, between my mum n dad there are 6 years difference in age!! my sister is 24 and her boyfriend is 30sumthin! and one of my boyfriends was 25 when i was 16 so i think its ok, you cant help who you love. dont worry things will work out

I think its okay, it just depends. My husband and I were in the same age range when we got married. We have been married for nine years and we still feel the same way for each other. Although, in some relations when someone is young, sometimes they are not sure if its real love and with the years they realize that it wasn't love. In a way because of their inexperience relations. I don't think your age should matter.

what does a 17 year old know about love? for that matter, what does a 24 year old know? you both are to young to become so serious. give her 5 years. see what she thinks then.

no it's not moral. she is too young and you are too old for her. why don't you date people your own age? and if you have the same maturity level of a 17 year old girl than there might be something wrong with you.

not really because the 17 year old is not completly aware of what love is and entails and it is not right leagaly as far as i know, but morally you are putting your values of what love is on her my suggestion just wait for her to mature alittle if she is mature like most 21 year old women then i would say it is alright but she is stil niave in the ways of the world

Nothing wrong with it morally. Be careful though, because depending on where you are, most places would consider it statutory rape.

It depends a lot on her parents too - some can be extremely protective (when my daughter gets older - I'm going to be sitting on the porch with a shotgun).

Actually that's illegal. If a minor is dating someone four years older than them, it's illegal. Be friends, then date when she's 18. You never know if something is going to happen and she'll say you did something to her. Then you'll be the one in jail.

Well, as long as you aren't having "pre-marital relations" it may be ok. Make sure you wait until she is over 18 before any funny business goes on or you could find yourself behind bars with the title 'sex offender' on you for the rest of your life.

Uh, actually in the USA and many other countries you can be arrested.

If it's true love you can wait til she's 18. Give her space. Tell her your Yahoo! Answers friends don't want you to go to jail.
