My hair is naturally wavy and not very silky. I wash, blow dry and straighten it about 5-6 times a week which I know is unhealthy. Even when I straighten it though, it's still frizzy and messes up and gets knotted very easily. It is especially frizzy underneath, and extremely annoying. At the bottom, it like curls up and is very thin and annoying. I recently moved and was told the water here makes women's hair thinner, and I believe I'm experiencing that. How can I stop this and fix my hair?

there is no miracle treatment, but you can try using a deep conditioner every day to help soften your hair. i use pantene for curly/wavy hair, and it reduces frizz a LOT! you might want to experiment with anti-frizz hair serums too- i use 'zero frizz hair serum'. another thing is that you could try a different type of straightener. glass ones make your hair shine, but ceramic ones are better for your hair. metal straighteners pretty much suck lol

Healthy-looking hair can be achieved by using good hair products. You need to use something that will condition your hair. A deep conditioner that you leave in for a long time once a week will definitely help. You can also go to a salon for a good deep conditioning once in a while. Also, I use a product called CHI thermasilk in my hair before I blow dry it and straighten it. It really makes it look and feel softer and silky. Your hair isn't actually alive, so you can't make it healthy again. Once damage is done, it's done until it grows out, but good styling products can make all the difference. Good luck to you, and many more good hair days.

First of all, stop fighting with your hair. Straightening your hair 5-6 times a week is extreme and it will continue to look damaged. Condition, condition, condition (Pantene) maybe? And add some plain vinegar to your final rinse for the proper ph balance. Try getting a great short haircut. You can slick your hair back off your face with a protein gel sometimes. If not, you could try one of those stylish ponytails so you don't have to mess with your hair as much. Have your hairdresser give you a professional conditioning treatment and go for regular trims until your hair feels and looks good. Give it a break.

Go to Walgreens and by the Oli Olive Oil Shampoo and Conditoner. It will fix your hair. Also buy a shine serum and put on your hair to tame the fuzzies. I've been there - done that!

First, you should be using a heat type protector when you style..(check w/ your local salon..they should be able to offer suggestions)
I would make an appointment for them to give you a deep conditioning treatment...not too expensive, and it will help your hair a lot...
