I am looking for a good coffee to make at home or any suggestions to spruce up regular coffee at home. I live in the country and dont have any fancy coffee chains around my house, so I am looking for coffee that you can buy at a store like walmart, Giant Eagle, ect...Thanks !!

Use your regular coffee and try one of the following:

Add ground cinnamon, cocoa or ginger to the ground before brewing.

Add a few drops of an extract (I like vanilla) to the grounds before brewing.

While the coffee is brewing, steam your half and half with whole cloves, allspice, nutmeg or another spice of your choice.

Stay away from mail order Gevalia. They sell your credit card info even if you "opt out."

Well if you ever get to the city and can go to Costco, try their dark roast Kirkland brand. It is their in house brand it is a 2kg tin for $8.99, I tried it just because I did not want to make another stop to purchase only coffee. It is the best coffe I have had. I am a BIG coffee drinker I have on average 8 to 10 cups threw out the day.

This coffee is for a percolator.

Enjoy

Hey Vicki ! It s always good to meet someone with similar interest. I am also very keen to make my regular coffee taste better. We have got few so called fancy coffee shops here, but i dont really find it worth going there. You know wht, without any complex machinaries or ingredients too a great tasting coffee can b made...

try this ! I like capacino and mocha too, but this coffee recipe i find simply awsome, and very easy to make.

You can make it with any of ur fav kind of coffee. I generally use instant coffee. Make a stron black coffee (1/2 cup water + 1tsp coffee powder-> boil it ). In a saucepan, boil milk with a lil cardamom into it. let it boil for some two mins. If you like chocolates, a tinch of drinking chocolate gives very good taste here (i love chocolates, but i try to ad least amount of choc here to get more coffee taste). To half a cup of this, add half a cup of previously made strong black coffee, and add sugar as per your likings,... I love it, the coffee, choc and especially cardamon gives it very nice taste and great feel ! Enjoy the coffe !

I will b glad if u like it.... !

Buy whole beans and grind them when you're going to brew you're own cup o joe, not weeks before. Only grind what you need at a time.

San Francisco Bay Company is a good one. You can also order Starbucks or Peet's or Persnickety Tim off the internet.
