Ask your family and friends. They are your best sources. Check with the BBB to see if a dentist have any complaints and check with the dental association of your state for the same thing.Ask your medical Doctor or your pharmacist The last two may not not be willing to give you a single name but probably would give you a list of dentists they could recommend.

The only half-decent way is to get opinions from friends about their dentists. If you find a friend who is satisfied, it's worth a try going to that dentist. And yes, good dentists are hard to find.

Ask your coworkers/friends/neighbors where they go. You all are on the same insurance (for the most part). When I picked my dentist, I just called the insurance company asked for one that was on my way home from work. I got lucky, they are great! I go out of my way now to go back there.

just ask people around where you live if they like their dentist. Only way you can find this out is by word of mouth.

Ask people you know how they like their dentist. I actually found my dentist through 1-800-Dentist, and I love him!

try going thru your medical plan's dental guide book - or start asking some people in the neighborhood!

Or google search dentists within your zipcode!

Good Luck!

word of mouth is the best. My patients are constantly referring new patients to me. If I was doing bad dentistry....my patients would be leaving me and telling their family and friends to stay away. So, ask your family, friends, co-workers, fellow church members, folks at your favorite hang-outs, etc.
