I'd say it depends on where you live. Obviously areas where the cost of living is much higher, you can charge more. But without knowing that, I'd say between 5-10 dollars.

Haha! I asked a girl down the road from me could she walk my dog during the day when I was away. I had someone in the house looking after him but not during the day. She walked and minded dogs for a living and asked for 20euro for an hour. When I looked shocked she said Well 10 euro for half an hour. I have seen her with 2 and 3 dogs on a lead at a time so it could be a very profitable business. I live in Ireland

Depends - are you transporting the dogs?
Are you getting insurance? (some sort of liablity is pretty much a must - especially if you are transporting them or taking them to an off-leash - don't discount insurance - do you want to paying for vet bills?)

My dog walker picks up/drops off the dogs, is bonded and insured, and charges $20/walk for the first dog, and $5 for every extra dog - every dog is walked for approx. 1 hour, which including pickup and drop off works out to usually 90min. The charge includes a portion of the insurance (vehicle and liablity), gas, wear and tear on the vehicle, as well as her own wage.

That would depend on how long the walk last i would do 10 bucks for a hallf hour and 15 for a full hour and maybe have some special days that are a bit cheaper for your regular customers

WOW....I wish I lived near all of you...most dog walkers in our area (Alberta) charge 15/half hour...it's all in the area I guess...search out dog walking services in your area and see what the going rate is...if you're new and young you might want to cut 5 bux of the going rate...
