I am living with an addict who's behaviour is becoming more violent and my finances are limited due to recently starting a new job after being out of work for a few months. I also have a dog and cat that I won't leave behind. Are there options to get us out before someone gets hurt?

Why can't the addict vacate? You could try at the Salvation Army,but alot depends on income and dependents, I don't think they turn anyone away though,some offer of help will occur.

Just pack up your things and go. Do you have a friend that will let you stay with them? That could be helpful while you get back on your feet financially.
I wish you well. I know its not easy. I just went through something very similar to this about 2 years ago, except I didn't have pets, I have a child. Good luck!

try to go to church. and join some group. sure they've got lots of advice.
