after reading most of the answers, I bet none of them are what you are looking for if you are feeling how I had felt. Adoption? I bet it's not really the same in your mind is it? It wasn't for me. And be "happy with what you got",....well who said that your boys don't make you happy???? They just don't understand your strong desire for a girl. So, they can't exactly empathize. And "be around someone else teenager"...Sorry, but I doubt that will stop you wanting your girl. Being as you are a one (female), i am sure you know how much harder and difficult they can be...but how wonderful and different it can be too. All kids are going to cause grief...so that isn't going to stop you wanting a girl.
Unfortunately, I don't have the magic answer either. Your desire may never go away. I am sure it will fade, but I know my desire never would have went away. And of course you are greatful for the boys you have...and anyone on here to say that you aren't are just plain rude. If you can financially support a fourth (and emotionally of course) wait a few years and try again. What's the worst? You have another boy? Is it so horrible that you'll end up with another blessing?
I don't know if anyone here can make you desire a girl less, but maybe you could just hold on to the dream of lots of granddaughters!!! Not the same, but special in its own way!

It's hard to get the heart not to yearn for something, be it a loved one, a friend, a fond memory or children. On the other hand, one needs to be realistic. You could be impregnated 10 more times and still only have a boy. It may only be "luck" of the draw. It may be dissapointing for you if you never have a little girl, but you may need time to simply accept that it may not happen. Perhaps adoption is an option at some point, although your partner (fiancee) should have imput and financial considerations are very important. As you obviously know, children are not puppies. They are the world. Good luck with your heart. It must be stressful.

Talk to someone that has a 13 -16 year old daughter, guarantee this will curb you desire for a girl. I have two boys from my first marriage and I now know why I was not given a girl. My now husband had a girl and a boy. The girl made my life a living hell. You have boys for a reason, don't push it, believe me you will feel sorry.

For someone like me who is childless, I would do anything to have my own baby - girl or boy. Like you said, be greatful and love them unconditionally.
If it really bothers you....maybe think of it this way, all your sons are going to grow up and get married to fabulous women, who you will probably think of as your "daughters"....then they will have tons of babies, all probably girls. You can spoil your granddaughters like crazy.
