Theres no grey area here. He doesnt want to have the emotional end of the relationship but he's willing to stick around for sex.

The mixed signals you're referring to are that of getting you into bed. If you dont want a pure sex only relationship with him, then you have absolutely nothing with this guy. You cant be just friends and you cant be his GF. When you say he's being difficult it really means that you want him and he doesnt feel the same way.

Believe me, the signs of affection are only about the sex.

Well, that sounds like "jerk-ese" to me, coming from a self-centered person.

He says he is in love with you? Well, I have always thought that real love is thinking about another more than himself. It sounds like he is saying that he enjoys doing what he wants to with you, but that he is only in it until the word "commitment" comes into play. At that point, he will more than likely move on to another somebody else.

You are a person -- a human being with feelings, wants, and desires. You have every right to be treated as one, and that includes wanting more from a relationship -- love, respect, commitment, and decency -- rather than just a "fling" or an outlet for his libido.

You should settle for nothing less than someone who will really care about you, not throw you a lot of double-talk, which is what I am hearing him say here.

He's not mature if he monopolizes your time and he knows you want a deeper relationship but he doesn't want it.

Cut him off. He's trying to play the field while using you as a security blanket.

that isnt love. if he was really in love with you he'd try to work things out. ask him why does he think it wouldnt work out? try to get his reasons why he wouldnt want to be with you. if they sound reasonable then you'd understand if not then move on. goodluck

"I'm worth his time" is not that he is in love, he just says yeah you are not bad to be with me, but he honestly tells you that he doens't have feelings, let it go, and find someone who would be worth your time!
