Uggghhhh.. I'm in Chicago, and getting married in 2 months. Under $30 Bucks thats tuff. Humm I know of a Mexican resurant in Berwyn Guadalajara Resturant they have a second floor that they rent out it comes out to like $23 with mexican food buffet and like 3 or 4 hours open bar, but they really limit the days of the week that they rent it out. Your other options are getting a Legion hall, they're all around the city. I'm renting out a ballroom ( www.michellesballroom.com ) They do the rental of the facility only. the rental rates range from ($700-2,500) depending on the day of the week and time of the year. You can get your own caterer, and you provide your own liquor. So I'm ending up paying about $31 per plate. Consider that I'm having my wedding during peak season so it's gonna run me $2500 just to rent the place, I'm catering mexican food at $8 pp, My liquor budget is $1200, and I also rented linens (table and chair covers), and hired servers. This could have been much cheaper if I wanted to do buffet instead of plate service, but I wanted plate service. It's a very nice place, and it fits upto 250 people. It really works if your picky about the type of food and liquor you want served, my friend got married there last year and she paid $2500 for the servers, itialian food, and linens. They do have someone who they recommend his name is (Victor Parras) he's actually very good. Hope this helps.

Ok, it all depends on when you want your wedding. You can find a wedding for under $30 but your options are very slim. Are you willing to do buffet style? Are you willing to have an afternoon wedding or a Sunday evening? Are you getting married during the wedding season? These are all factors that can determine the price but I will help you the best I can but remember when you are working on such a slim budget, you have to give or take a few things.
There is White Nights Chicago in Rosemont

That is the url to the menu. Those prices are for Sunday through Friday.

Then there is Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills, IL

and then there is Royal Palace Banquets in Chicago Ridge, IL

Also try the Sabre Room, Belvedere Chateau and Nikos Restaurant. Good luck!
