With so many stray cats in the streets and overcrowded kennels, why don't they just send some of them?

I think a much better solution would be to educate people about the importance of spaying and neutering. Rather than spending all that money on your suggestion, that money could be spent on education and programs for spaying and neutering.

I think all cats should be spayed and neutered as kittens, unless they are purebreds and are going to be bred. Any "pet" should be fixed. That would help cut down on the strays immensely, as if an unfixed cat got out, it wouldn't go and make babies.

I also think educating people on the joys of adopting an adult cat would help as well. People just don't realize how wonderful an adult cat can be! Plus, they are already litter trained! I have adopted 3 adults, and they are the best cats! Sure, a kitten is absolutely adorable, but they do grow up!

People also need to learn that PETS DO NOT MAKE A GOOD GIFT! People need to pick out their own pet, on their own terms. They may say they want a dog or cat, but are not really ready to take on that responsibility! If you think you may want to give someone a pet, give them a gift certificate and offer to go with them when they pick it out or something.

Many of the "strays" that you see in the streets are actually not strays but pets that irresponsible pet owners let outdoors to roam and contribute to the overpopulation problem.

Restaurants that are caught using stray animals for human food consumption are closed down, since stray cats can carry feline leukemia, feline AIDS and dogs carry rabies and other diseases transmittable to people.

China skins stray cats and dogs and uses their fur for trinkets and other fur-covered items that they export overseas and that you see in the junky dollar stores these days. They also have an animal over-population problem and don't need ours.

They could send them to certain farms to hunt and kill mice and snakes, vet bill would be crazy.
If you want you can start a catch and release program with some corporation with a vet.
Catch the cats and have them fixed, shots, and release them back into the public.
Helps control the breeding and some you catch may have a serious illness that would need long time care by a loving person or to be put down to prevent further suffering of its illness.

If china needed more cats in their food, I am sure they would ask.Other than that, How are you sure they eat cats? :)

If anything, A friend from south america told me his country uses their own stray cats.Maybe some countries should or is doing an import deal with cats.

because it would be considereed inhumane to the cats and racist to chinese people. besides everyone know in america you don't eat an animal if its cute and cuddly.....just the ugly ones. cows, chickens, pigs
