Hair has undertones, I'll use blonde as an example. Blonde has yellow undertones. If a blonde wanted to color their hair, and they chose a color with blue undertones(sometimes black does) their hair will turn green, because yellow+blue=green.

that's bec you have natural red high lights . Am I right? Anyways go to a salon. I had actual blond highlights put in my hair but I have natural red highlights lights. You have to get it done by a pro or it'll turn red instead of blond

It's best to go to a professional colorist but if you prefer to do it yourself, then use colors that say "Ash" for example Ash brown, whether medium ash, dark ash or light ash. The ash counteracts the tendency to turn to red.

have a beautician do it....they will prolly have to strip it completely and then add the color of your choice
