It may differ from state to state but you'll need to get a state ID which requires you to have your original birth cerificate. If you're under 18 you may need parent permission, you do in TX.

If you live in the USA you go to the local Motor Vehicle office and get a handbook, and take a written test on road signs and rules of the road to get a learner's license or permit. You'll need a birth cert, and other forms of ID, so call them to find out what types they want. They take the photo for you for the learner's permit and once you learn to drive, you then take a road test and get a permanent license. Good luck.

You need to get a provisional application form from the post office,fill it in and get someone to sign your photo,it tells you all this in the booklet with the form,send it away with a postal order or other method of payment,it usually takes a few weeks for it to be sent out to you,then book your lesson,goodluck!!

go to the post office and ask for a provisional licence application form, send it off and then you should receive your licence in a few days. Then book your first lesson, good luck.

if you're in the UK - u need to get a 'D1' form from a post office.
u need two passport style photos.
fill out the forms and £38 for the provisional.
optional £5 checking fee (?) at a larger post office - if u dont want to send off ID (i.e your passport)
