There is no easy solution. The hard answer is that if he likes you more than he likes her, eventually he will break up with her and go to you. At that time, however, you will probably break up with your best friend because she will never believe that you didn't seduce him. But, if you truly do not go near him while he is with your friend, then your relationship with him will be rock solid forever. And, sooner or later, your best friend will realize that you did leave him alone while he was with her. She may still not be your friend, though, because he liked you better than he liked her and she will think of that every time she hangs out with you.

If she is truly our bes friend then you will not even think of making a move and that dude. And if it's a situation where he is making passes at you then you better tell her or you won't have her as a best friend for much longer.

very rude of your friend if they new you liked this guy. But, it's either be mad at her and lose a friend or find someone better and keep her away from him.
