Consuming protein isn't really for weight loss. It is more commonly used in bulking up muscle. Eating low carbs is where the quick weight loss is, but you can never go back to the way that you eat now or you will gain the weight back. You have to find the right amount of carbs for your body and stick with that. bodybuilder.com has many answers and products that you might be looking for. Have fun and good luck.

Here's a tip: Your body NEEDS protein, carbs, and fat (yes, FAT) so cutting any of those nutrients way back will be detrimental to your body and can actually hinder your weight loss efforts. If you want to lose weight, aim for an even split of 33-1/3% protein, 33 1/3% carbs, and 33-1/3% fat. Now let's sort of answer your question: Extra protein in your diet can help you lose weight because your body requires more energy to break down protein than anything else. If you want to do protein shakes, you're much better off making your own because the ones they sell in the store are made with high fructose corn syrup, which is the ingredient in Coke and all other soft drinks that can make you put on 15 pounds in one year just by drinking one can per day. Whey protein is very effective, but DO NOT get it from GNC -- it's overpriced and low-quality. Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein and Champion Nutrition 100% whey protein are good. Just take a scoop of that, mix it in a blender with one cup of skim milk, some lowfat yogurt, and the frozen fruit of your choice and presto -- homemade protein shake. Check out the website below for good prices on whey protein.

It depends on what else you're eating. Your entire diet has to be good, not just the shake-portion of it.

Yea, GNC has a great chocolate whey protein shake that actually tastes decent. I can't remember how much it is, but it is a good meal replacement after a workout.

you don't drink a protein shake to lose weight. its a protein supplement to help if you need more in your diet because you are not eating meat, or if you work out a lot and need more protein than you can get in foods to help build muscle.

GNC, they vary in cost... according to the brand and contents, from 30 to 80USD..... protein alone won't make you lose fat, you need a well balanced diet and of course workout, protein does nothing without working out.

Eat goats cheese rather then regular cheese. It contains 40 per cent fewer calories than the cheese made out of cow’s milk.

People who plan their weekly meals tend to be more successful at losing weight than those that don’t. Plan your dishes to include healthy carbs such as lovely potato and wholegrain pasta, vegetables and lean proteins, buy each of the ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted to eat out or order in.

Suck the idea in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting at the desk or making the dinner. This will help to strengthen your abdominals and your core, and provide you with one step closer to some sort of flatter stomach.

Beans, beans, are good for your heart, the more you take in the more you... lose weight actually. Super-effective and full regarding fibre, beans will regulate your appetite and slow down the rate at which your own stomach empties, meaning you keep fuller for longer.

Suck that in. Consciously hold in and contract your ab muscles while you’re walking, sitting at the desk or making the evening meal. This will help to strengthen your abdominal muscles and your core, and create for you one step closer to any flatter stomach.
