I saw an ad online today for a wedding invitation trunk show and was curious as to if anyone has ever particpated in anything like this? Still need to buy my invitations for a July wedding and this seems like a great event to get them at.

Truck shows are a fabulous thing. You get to see a large number of invites and feel them. A lot of invite places like www.annswedding.com and www.invitationsbydawn.com both will send you several different sample invites though so that you can feel them as well, but usually they have a limit of 3 or 5. So a trunk show is a great way to really get to look at a lot all at once.

Decide on your budget before you go. I didn't want to spend over $1.50 per invite ($150 per 100) and if you have that in mind it will really help--they seperate by price and you won't even have to look at the books with $3.00 invites. If you are looking for something pricer and more unique, you'll enjoy it as well since you won't even have to look at cheaper ones.

Definitely go, however most truck shows only have one manufacturer so in no way is this all the invites and don't worry if you didn't like any of them. But if you are getting married in July and mailing out the invites in May, don't fret. You have at least 2 months to settle your mind on which invites.

I have heard of them, but haven't attended one. I made my own invitations, so I didn't need to attend. It might be worth attending, but be wary about signing any contracts!
