There are a number of studies on this subject, estimated world population in history. Here's one link to the US Census Bureau's estimates on it. For 2000 BC, the world population is estimated to be 27 million. By 1000 BC, it is estimated to have doubled to 50 million. By 0 AD, the figure rises to about 200 million, give or take.
