I have these quiet moments were I sit and think. I have visions of myself preaching and I often catch myself preaching to friends and family. I feel like I'm being call by God. Does anyone know if I am or not?

Sometimes preaching will actually push us non believers away. I do not like being told what I am, or where I am going when a person does not have evidence to back up their claims. At such a point that a person has done so, I will start to block them out and naturally feel a little bit resentful towards their beliefs.
Then again, if you are preaching to people that want to hear it then all the power to you.

Sounds like you have an honest desire to preach, but you should also ask yourself if you're the right kind of person for the job. People will look to you as a moral example and spiritual leader. Even if you tell them that they should rely on God and not any human being, it is you who will become their rock, and to you that they will look during the most difficult times of their lives. It's not a glamorous job. Are you prepared to be the servant of all? Are you willing and able to give that much of yourself?
It's a very high calling. It can be very rewarding, if you're up for it. If you decide that you're the right kind of person, then I truly wish you the best of success.

It could just mean that you have a bossy personality and like to impose your views on other people when they differ from your own.
If you have had no other experiences of big speeches, other than religious preaching, then your calling could just be public speaking (be it for environmental reasons, political, economics whatever...)
You are just not able to picture yourself doing a big speech in any other circumstance since you've not experienced it.
One thing is for sure, no-one else on yahoo answers will be able to tell you, what it is you're feeling. If that is really the avenue you really want to go down, then do it.
I'm sorry if I came across mean to start of with, but it's got to be important to consider all other options if it's your future you're dealing with right?

The best thnig to do now, is get into prayer. Seek God, and ask Him to confirm whether he's calling you to preach or not. If He is, then you need to start studying His word on a more serious level, and making sure you are living a truely Godly lifestyle.

As a Christian too. I believe you are called by God to preach. Personally, I would pray and ask God to open doors and ask him to confirm this or not.

Dear Shortie,
God has to tell you that, you can't go by what other people say. Spend time in prayer about it. Let god make it real to you or take it our of your heart.
But you are called, most definitely, to love God with all of your heart, to pray, to be a blessing in this world, to help others, etc. All Christians have this call!

As I am a witch you may feel i'm not the one to answer this but i will answer you. Every person has their chosen path, I am ussually bitter towards christianity but visions are not to be ignored. Follow what they tell you. You will be led to higher enlightenment if you do.

Called to do what? Normal faith makes us feel like this. You don't have to be "called" to want to spread the Gospel within your particular parameters but, THE CALLING is another story. We are all called to be evangelizers but, not everyone is called to the priesthood or to be a preacher. I personally do not believe in women preachers but, that's something else.
