I have been in love for several years now. We're not together. We never actually dated. But, I just can't seem to fall out of love. I only want the best for both of us. I don't feel obsessive about it. I want to know a secret to falling out of love.

i don't think you ever fall out of love. the ones that touch our heart stay in there for life. the only thing that will help is time you will never really fall out of love with that person but the love will fade and new stronger love fillings will replace the old ones. you say you never actually dated. i think you should try to date this person and give it a chance you never know what might happen from it. if there is no chance on dating then just go out have fun and maybe a new love interest will soon come into your life. i hope this helps you.

seems liek you are in the ' idea ' of being in loive untill you live with him and spend tiem getting to know eachother it; just fantasy love..

the absence makes the heart grow fonder thing..I know ton;s fo experience with long distance relationships... they suck and they don;t work unless you get together and have a plan to do so...
you need to move on and start your life from a fresh perspective.. taking time apart is the best way to get over someone.. tell him you need to take some time and see what else is out there and DO NOT make any contact with him or allow it.. and soon you will see those, 'mostly chemical' felling called love will fade.. and you will hopefully meet someone local that can actually kiss you! time is the only cure for love sickness..or another love entering into the picture..

good luck sugar!

You dont, there is no such thing. If it were true everlasting love, you wouldnt change your mind and reverse your love. Essentially you are changing your mind and feelings are reducing, not "falling out of love" with this person. It was not meant to be and after a time, a person feels that the honeymoon is over, and now does not feel the elation you feel in a new relationship, or the infactuation. Thats all it was, infactuation. The two have nothing to do with one another.

The first two answers were all you need to know. You'll soon hate him if you constantly dwell on his imperfections. You'll stop thinking about him once you find a boyfriend. Get moving. And good luck. I fell in love to when I was young with a girl I never dated, but we did make out for 5-6 hours and she said things that made me sure that she loved me, but she found another guy. I could never forget her, but I fell in love with 5-6 other women, but I never forget the first one.

Theirs no secret. You can't fall out of love with a person. If it was that simple you would've never fell in love with him. I'm sorry, but we don't get to choose. LOVE chooses us

You can't.
Once you love someone, if it is truely love that you feel. it never goes away. You can move on; accept that you are not going to be together but you will always have that same feeling for him.
