It's completely a dominance thing. My female puppy tried to do it for a while too. We DID NOT allow her to try to do it to us, or on us... But we let her hump her teddy bear. Who cares if he's dominated? Don't worry - She'll grow out of it. Just remember that dogs have a "pack mentality" and they associate with you and your husband as they would with other dogs. In no way should you allow her to feel that she is above you, or dominating you in the "pecking order" of your home. Besides... Chihuahuas always feel like they have something to prove. :) I have one too.

Why do you quite have them mutually? no longer a solid thought. The "humping" which you're seeing is an illustration of dominance. that is now common that he might try this to a clean canine that has come into his territory. yet, the recent doggy must be injured. it is your job to maintain the doggy risk-free and separated till heavily supervised. it is likewise your job to get your male neutered and 17 mos. is attending to be late. in case you do no longer basically like the humping, only wait till he's peeing throughout to mark his territory.

I have a 3 year old chihuahua and she humps stuffed animals. I think it's her way of being in control of them. So you don't want her to think she is in control of you guys. Don't let her do it.

DOMINANCE. Do not let her do it or she will think she is the leader of your pack. Tell her no and prove you are the master.
