I suppose that depends on what's hurting...If it's internal stuff, this likely won't help.

Outside of your usual NSAID's (non-steroidal anti-inflamatories AKA: tylenold/advil), try using heat or ice..depending on what your body responds better to. Try using a heating pad or hot water bottle, or simply soaking in a hot bath. If using a heating pad or water bottle, make sure you have something between the heat source and the skin to prevent burns. If you're using ice, fill a plastic bag with crushed ice if it's a bigger area or use a bag of frozen veggies (I've been told peas or corn are the best, more so peas). If using ice cubes directly on the skin, keep it moving (to prevent skin damage) and don't leave it on for more than 10-15 minutes, or until the numb stage appears.

I took massage therapy (this is Shanes wife) so I know some stuff about heat and cold applications,
Hope this helps.

It depends on the pain. Heat and/or ice may help depending on what the pain is caused by. But if you're looking for something to take I seem to find naproxin to help (aleve).

aleve is the best...i played college football and our trainer would give it to us because it is the strongest over the counter pain killer plus it reduces swelling.
