I can get some but have never tried it, and just like 'shrooms or anything else I like to know what it is like before getting into it. Any experience you can pass along?

the real stuff comes from prague and amsterdam and runs about $80 dollars a bottle if not more to get it over here in the us there are a lot of absynthe knock offs out there so try to get the real brand as for effects they are not that hullcingenic it can be if drank in large quanties but i would really only recommend 2-4 shots at the most for a first go and there's a proper way to drink it as well which will make the taste a lot better it's like nothing you've ever drank before you really wouldnt want to take a staight shot of it but the effects are most like being stoned than tripping but you may get some pretty intense visuals if you drink to much and like with any drink you'll feel drunk yea this explantion of the feeling sucks it's like trying to describe the colour red to a blind person
so it's kinda drunk kinda stoned and some visuals i.e. crazy clours and such not little green men or anything like that

Always wanted to, gonna buy some soon. I've been researching for awhile cuz iIam the same way, I wanna know before I try. I have read that the wormwood that gives it the hallucinogenic quality is very light but comparable to the worm in some tequila.

It is in no way related to the worm in tequilla, and besides the liquor with the worm is actually mescal.
Absynthe does not cause the strong halucinations many claim, and I have tried many different brands. It is a slightly different feeling than regular alchohol(though only slightly), lighter i guess, hard to describe. It in no way compares to shrooms.

WARNING!!! Absinthe can kill you. It's made from wormwood, which is HIGHLY poisonous, and the making of Absinthe is not regulated in any way, so there's no way to tell whether you're getting a light dose of wormwood or a lethal dose. Don't try it. Your first time may very well be the last mistake you ever make.

It gives you the nastiest hangover. Stick with beer, because I would rather go to the bathroom every 10 minutes, than to have a hangover like that!!

Think,.... non-nauseus but highly potent,.. makes the room truly spinny, but without the vomitting side-effects of too much liquid etc.

the effects: you definately will see Kylie Minogue as a green fairy/tinkerbell singing and flying as the way she does in Moulin Rouge ;)

you do get small hallucinations because its too strong
