I would also like to ask if you see any similarity to the word "oc" or something like that... thank you!

According to my dictionary, tinker as a noun is 'myednik' or 'ludilschik'. As a verb, it offers 'voditsya'.

Sorry - I can't see any relationship with 'oc'.

The other person answered correct, but that words are no longer used in modern Russian. you can meet those words only in the books.
As for "oc" i can't find anything like that. The only thing i can think of is the word "ok" and some people do pronounce it as "oc", and it means the same as ok in English.
