Obviously she enjoys suckin but it is odd to let her suck your breast if u arent breastfeeding. Y dont you try her with a baby dummy?

NO you dont need to unlatch her to start over. She'll nurse as long as she needs to.

You can listen for her to swallow. But generally that nippling does compress the nipple enough to release a small amount of milk. Generally they just nibble in the end because babies like to suck on something when content or falling asleep.

Some babies only need ten minutes to feed, so long as she's not losing weight or not gaining enough, then theres no reason to worry. Its not natural for a baby to go hungry when on the breast. They will stimulate your body to produce and let down all they need. Some babies are effecient nurses and strong suckers. Sounds like yours is.

After 10 mins she has probably had her fill and is nibbling for comfort. However I think that if both you and she are happy with this, continue! I successfully breastfeed four babies by doing it my way and ignoring all that good advice. Best of luck and remember, Don't be bullied into anything, it is your body and she is your daughter, do what you think is right, you probably are!! M xx

yes if she actively sucks for the first 10 minutes then she has the flow established and has to do little to keep it going.

I don't think so, maybe she does it because it's a comfort for her.

As long as you can tell she's draining the breast, you're ok. (feel the firmness before vs after feeding).
