Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland

"Alexander & Aarcher"

Pagans sing, are you listenin',

Altar's set, candles glisten,

It's a Magickal night, we're having tonight,

Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland

Blades held high, censer smoking,

God and Goddess, we're invoking,

Through Elements Five, we celebrate life,

Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland

Queen of Heaven, is in Her place,

Triple Goddess, now the Crone Face,

Above and Below, She's the Goddess we know,

Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland

Now the God, is the Provider,

Supplying game for our Fire,

Above and Below, He's the Horned One we know,

Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland

In a Circle we can light a Yule Fire,

And await the rising of the Sun,

It's the Great Wheel turning for the New Year,

loaded with abundance and great fun.

Later on, by the fire,

Cone of Power, gettin' higher

It's a Magickal Night we're having tonight,

Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland

Meh... I've never appreciated Wiccan songs that are parodies of other songs. I prefer original compositions, like "Freya Shakti", "We All Come From The Goddess", and "Ancient Mother".

I've heard "Walking in a Wiccan Wonderland" before, and found it a bit too cute and precious for my tastes; frankly, I thought it trivialized our religion, but that's just me.

It's cute but not very original. I bet Wiccans could come up with some amazing songs that are not derived from anything that's already out there.

Taking what too far? I used to be a solitary practitioner and this is how you officially celebrate a holy day, what you believe to be true about the male and female deities, these are how rituals are performed......there's really nothing in this Wiccan song that's incorrect......it's really ok to like it.

Whatever floats your boat and makes you feel better.

But I pose this question in response: Would you like someone taking your incantations and twisting the words around, raping the sanctity of their meaning, stealing them and making them their own, whilst making fun of them at the same time?

I think it's HIGH-larious, but I don't know what the Druids would think of Cernunnos and Habondia being invoked in such a jolly way.

Cute, wording is good, but guessing score is from Winter Wonderland, needs different scoring. Why do you think they are taking it too far?

Taking it too far? It's just a song. What's the problem?

What are they taking too far? I've heard it before and I think it's cute.

Well it's better than "walking in women's underwear" sang to the same tune, not as funny though.
