Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 5 months. I'm 18 and recently had sex for the first time with him. I'm madly in love with him and I know he feels the same about me but my friends think it was too soon. Is there a right age? And is there a right amount of time you should be with someone before you have sex with him?

Something like 60% of people have had sex by the time they're 18... other people would say don't have sex until you're prepared to deal with the consequences (i.e. pregnancy) but of course that's not a realistic goal. Remember, until the 20th century, most people were married by the time they were 17-18; MARRIAGE at that age seems to be too soon for me, but our bodies are expecting sexual activity about then.
Be glad you did it with someone you love and someone who loves you; and be safe!

I had sex for the first time when I was 16. Looking back on it now, I don't think I was mature enough emotionally to deal with it. Different people feel different about things; however, I wish I would have waited one or two more years.
