Most wear the wedding ring on the left hand. But some opt to wear it on the right for whatever reason.
In other countries it's the right hand.
Sometimes a wedding ring is moved to the right hand after the demise of a spouse.
While I'm on the subject, the woman wears her engagement ring until the wedding day. Then she puts it on her right hand until after the ceremony. Then she places the engagement ring on top of the wedding ring.
She can leave the engagement ring on & have the wedding ring placed on top of that, but it's usually the other way around. It's really a matter of preference.
Don't expect the rings to slide on easily during the ceremony. Fingers swell when nervous. Slide the ring to the largest knuckle & then both of your finish sliding your own rings in place, should this be the case. And no lotion.

Left ring finger because it used to be believed that there was a vein that ran from the left ring finger to the heart.

It sometimes depends on the religion you follow. The majority of men wear their wedding band on the left hand. But I have seen some men wear the wedding band on the right hand. It just depends.

Doesn't matter if you are a man or woman, tradition states that the wedding ring is worn on the left hand.

Left hand on the fourth digit in most countries. The fourth digit of the left hand is known for containing the vena amoris or "vein of love".
In countries such as Germany, India, Venezuela and Chile, it is worn on the right hand.
It depends on religion and your cultural background.
