Hi,
I used to work for VW as a tech for 4 years and a service advisor for 2 1/2 years..

1st thing to check is not injectors and all thats listed so far.

A COMMON fault with alot of VW's is whats known as the air/mass meter, this is situated (bolted) onto the air cleaner housing. to check it, unplug and drive the vehicle, try accelerating, does this make a difference or is it the same?
This fault wont normally bring a light on the dash panel. if its the same driving, go to vw and get a new air/mass meter, they offer exchange or brand new, either is fine and it should only cost about £65 (only 2 screws to fit it)
Once this is fitted you dont need to tune it or code it, just runs straight away.

The other thing it could be another KNOWN fault is the coolant temp sensor, this normally does bring a light on the dash panel but not always.
It can cause one of 2 main problems causing this type of fault.
1. it can be registering the car as hot, so it starves the engine of fuel, giving a lack of power...
2. or it could be registering it as cold, giving it too much fuel, could cause spluttering and power problems.

As mentioned above about a catalytic converter, very unlikely, if its blocked it can cause a lack of back pressure causing loss of power, although you would prob hear it rattleing if this has gone.

Also as mentioned above, Fuel injctors and pump... Nah. very unlikely to ba a fault, i worked for vw for 6 1/2 years, never saw one pump gone, injectors could cause this issue but you would more or likely feel a miss fire type of feeling as well as apower issue.

p.s if you dont wanna start mucking about yourself, take it to a vw dealer and ask them to carry out half 30min diagnostic £56approx. they should be able to find the fault and quote prices etc for repair....

Hope this helps

The 1.9 l TDI has an issue with droplets of oil making its way back into the Intake Manifold from the EGR causing a buildup. The buildup limits the airflow, choking the engine.

This is an expensive fix. Requires almost a full workday to repair.

Hi - I work for a VW retailer and as per another answer, try AirMass Meter and Temp Sender. If you take it to a main dealer you will get two years parts warranty and 12 months labour warranty. It'll be more expensive but worth it in the long run.

i might initiate with marvel absorbers or struts, counting on your motor vehicle. in the experience that your motor vehicle has extra advantageous than 60-seventy 5,000 miles this may be a sturdy commencing factor. Shocks and strut overall performance starts to become worse after this mileage.

As posted before, check your fuel injectors, it could also be a blockage in your fuel line, get that checked too.
