why does my cat freak out when i take a shower?

If i close the door she tears the carpet up trying to get in. If i take a shower alone shes fine. When i get in with my husband she doesn't stop meeowing.

Let her in the bathroom with you. Tigger does the same with me, not as viscious as scratching at the carpet, but meows like crazy if I am in the bathroom and don't let her in. So I usually go get her and take her in when I want to have a shower or bath, then she curls up in the sink and hangs out until I am done, and hides behind the toilet when I dry my hair.

She fears the water, she can learn to over come the shower by showing her you guys are all rigth in the shower..

If the Cat is new to the home, just let it go, the cat willl get use to it..

I have two cats, and I have had them for a very long time..

cats are funny. My kitty wait til I turn off the water, then she tries like crazy to get in....scratching at the door, meowing....the first thing I do after I get out, before I even dry off, is let kitty in. Once she is in, she is fine. She lays on the floor while I dry off, put lotion on and get dressed.

LOL....Too funny...She is jealous!....I leave the door open and my cat actually stands on the tub and watches me shower!....Kind of strange but "whatever" keeps her meowing under control!....They are just like children!....Always figuring out how to get their way and have us wrapped around their paws....lol....ss
