What I mean is, often we want to achieve a certain goal, and we struggle to achieve it though everytime we struggle we learn and get closer to the goal because we know what to do and what not to do.

But then you achieve that goal and realize that it wasn't what you really wanted and you now have another goal more in line with God's will.

Thing is, the second goal more in line with God's will makes good use of the things you learned in achieving the first goal. You kinda need the things you learned achieving the first goal to achieve the second goal.

I am talking about dating here. I learned what it takes to be successful in dating and now I want a spiritual woman not those other girls, even though I have choice with women. Is it possible that God put me on that path to learn how to attract a mate so I can use that knowledge to marry a spiritual woman?

In dating, or in anything else for that matter, put God's will first and you can't lose.
