Chocolate Chip Frosting

1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Combine butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan.
Over medium heat, bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla.
Beat until of desired spreading consistency- add milk if needed



Chocolate Chip Buttercream Frosting
15 min 15 min prep

1/4 cup butter
3 cups confectioners' sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
In a medium sized bowl, cream softened butter with an electric mixer.
Thoroughly mix in sugar.
Add vanilla, enough milk to make frosting creamy and smooth. Blend in chocolate chips and frost.

Yes you can, just watch the oil ratio, you're using a cocoa butter in the chips as apposed to a dry ingredient

You can,just melt the chips first. It takes a little longer but is really good!

WIth an entirely different recipe, yes. You want to look for a recipe for ganache and use that instead.
