If you'd been really close mates with a girl, and then started to fancy her, and freaked her out. Then you'd both stopped being mates cos she'd started avoiding you, and then a few months down the line she starts trying to talk to you again?
Would you want to be mates again? Or not...

that would be tough rejection to get over. but if we were that close i would have missed her and wanted contact with her again. still would feel akward/embarassed though.

If your asking if I would be her friend again, No. If she gets freaked out and can't explain how she feels about it in the first place then you probably weren't to good a friends, and therefore its not worth the risk of something worse happening the second time.

I'm guessing you're from "down under", as for your question, I wouldn't see a problem unless she ended it on bad terms. Just pick up where you left off, maybe she thought she made a mistake in turning him down or just wants to be friends. I wouldn't recommend putting the moves on her again for a while though.

Well i wouldn't be sure but if you show that you really are trying to be mates again then sure!

I would. It shows that she wants to be friends again. If what she really wants is a relationship now, that's a bonus!

No, I'd kick her to the curb. I don't need her playing her "Let's be friends" games with me when she knew how I felt. And after she reacted that way for so long.

Take it very slow to avoid scaring her off again. If she's straight and you are gay, forget about having an affair. She's not interested.

Old girlfriends or boyfriends usually doesn't work out. It's better to move on and not go backwords.

Sure, us guys forget things soo fast. Well at least the real men do, it's one of those things that seperates men and women; most men don't carry grudges and women do carry grudges, for a very long time.
