We have changed laundry detergent. And it does not occur on any other part of his body. The intensity of the itch is driving him nuts! Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Have you tried changing the laundry detergent to non scented or for sensitive skin? Put lotion on his back? Or has he tried less hot showers?
What's weird is eating makes it stop? I have never heard such a thing. Perhaphs it could be an excise to eat? haha

You know thats really crazy that you mention that because when i go tanning and i get sunburned sometimes the same thing will happen to me but for some reason whenever i eat it stops.. so im not quite sure what to tell you except to maybe go to a dermatologist or something .. he might have egsama!?!?!?

Itching can be caused by heat rashes or allergic reactions.Aloe vera gel , apple cider vinegar or vitamin E oil can be effectively used on the affected skin.More cheap and natural remedies for itching at the link below.

when hes thinking about food hes not thinking about itching, its all phyalogical. Try taking his mind of it and see what happens.
