I read somewhere that a symptom of anorexia is blue-ish tinted fingernails. What causes that specificly in anorexics? I've also read that generally blue fingernails means poor blood circulation. How does undereating affect circulation?

Oh, guys, no! I'm not anorexic. It was mentioned in my health class, and I've just been reading about it. I'm just curious. lol I'm a quite health 135 lbs :P

Blue fingernails is a hallmark sign of hypoxia (lack of O2 to the tissue), its not a good sign if your fingers are blue get to the doctor.

You are probably anemic due to the anorexia.
