In 1997 Scotland was granted a devolved government and since that time has had it's own education system separate to that of the rest of Britain. However, qualifications earned in one country in Britain are recognised in the other British countries.

In fact, now that education is free in Scotland there are a great many English students who study there, earn their qualifications then move back to England.

Well seeing as how Scotland is still in britain.....................
Scotland has a separate Education system but Scottish qualifications are recognised in England and Wales and vice versa.
