he sounds fine. Crying can wear you out too, you know. But, I'd call the nurse help line for your hospital or doctor's office and ask if you're worried.

How high did he fall from? Generally beds aren't super-high (vs. like a kitchen counter) and if he cried for a bit, that's okay. If he's playing and happy and acting normally for him - walking and moving all his limbs normally, talking normal for him - it's fine. Watch him for the next two days: If he vomits over the next 36-48 hours - take him to the doctor or ER right away. If he's not moving all parts normally or his speech isn't right - call his doctor ASAP. It's fine to let him sleep at normal times (naps, bedtime, etc) - just go in to him every couple of hours or so (don't sit over him watching him, you'll go bonkers and be sleep-deprived on top of it!) and rouse him a little. Don't wake him all the way - just tickle his foot or something and make sure he kicks your hand away. The point is to make him respond. If he doesn't kick your hand away or squirm away or react in some manner, you need to take him to the ER. He could have a concussion.
If you're still concerned - call your pediatrician - peace of mind is worth everything!

Here's the rule of thumb with toddlers: unless they're bleeding, seizing, or screaming they're usually fine. If they have a hard tumble, just check that their eyes track your finger (I had to do this so much with my son he would fall down and immediately grab my finger to track it, lol) and they're not limping or favoring any part of their body. It's a good idea to keep an eye on them for the first half hour or so after the fall. Other than that, the fact that he's up and playing again means that he should be okay.

He should be fine. I would call his pediatrician and ask for things to look for. Honestly though if he is up and running around he will be just fine. Took a few years off your life, no doubt, but your son should be fine. Usually after a crying jag babies will get tired. Crying in this way is how they soothe themselves.
My son's doctor always advises a call in to him after any accidents. That way he can let me know what to be on the lookout for that could signal a more serious injury and it provides a link just in case the worst should happen.

I've yet to see my toddler without a bruise on the head. The best thing to do is postpone sleep for a while. You can fall into a coma with a cuncussion if you sleep. If he is running around and alert, he is fine (but still put off sleeping for a while or skip the nap today). Keep him well hydrated and keep a close eye on him, if anything seems abnormal then call the doc.

You can take him to the ER to get checked, but kids do this all the time.
Check his pupils with a flashlight, make sure theyre the same size and contract with the light. Also make sure he can follow it. Look for bumps on his head, and keep him awake today.
My brother was a walking goose egg when he was that age, until he was about 3. He always was knocking his head off floors. Thats what I did, and he turned out just fine.
We tried going to the ER the first couple times. But after about 100 bumps on the head... it just got too expensive and silly to go an be told the same things over and over. They told us, and did, the same things I discribed up there.

call your wide-spread practitioner to substantiate...yet i do not imagine there's a lot they could do. My son did some thing similar. the fact is they could't stitich contained in the mouth...the floor isn't proper for it or some thing. The wide-spread practitioner would allow you to comprehend to pass to the ER and then i'd. in the different case....do as some different person said, use a moist washcloth to renounce the bleeding as a lot as conceivable and remove any swelling. you would favor to make positive you're feeding him very mushy foodstuff for slightly because it will be gentle.

This is bad by my 7 month old has fallen off my bed twice. Let them cry it out and then touch their limbs make sure there is no swelling or they do not reel away in pain. Try not to let him fall asleep for a bit in case he hit his head.
Falling is normal...that's how they learn not to fall.
If you are still concerned call your peds office and see what they say.

If there is no blood he is ok! Thats what my parents always said. He should be ok. If he starts acting weird take him to the doc but kids fall all the time, it's part of the toughening up process!

Seems perfectly normal. They're a lot more tougher than you think. Just next time put a large pillow or folded blanket next to him so he won't fall of the bed. Best of luck to you.
