I know this is a simple process but you just don't put the batter into a square pan. I used to do this all the time but I've forgotten how. It's great for days when you don't have time for making cookies or feel lazy.I think you have to thin the batter a bit.

As you can see from below recipes there is a difference and it seems to be 'water'.

Forever Fresh Cookies

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar (optional)
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups cornflakes cereal
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup coconut flakes
1 cup walnuts
1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, vegetable oil, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. Then add egg, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar, and mix with an electric mixer until slightly fluffy. With a spoon, gradually stir in flour until well mixed. Stir in cornflakes, oatmeal, coconut, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
Bake in a preheated oven for 12 minutes, or until slightly brown. Remove from oven; allow cookies to cool 5 minutes on baking sheets before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

Flavorful Dried Fruit Bars

INGREDIENTS
1 cup water
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup chopped prunes
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup egg substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan, combine water, dates, prunes and raisins. Cook over medium heat until fruit is softened, about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat; add margarine and stir until melted. Cool. Stir in egg substitute and vanilla; mix well.
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl; stir in fruit mixture. Spread into an 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking pan that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

this is the easiest and cheapest recipe. buy 1 roll of cookie doe any flavor my fav is peanut butter roll it onto a square bake stone then bake it like it says on the directions. then once out of the oven break up a hershys bar it will begin to melt spread it over the cookie. then top witrh reeses peoces its better if the cookie is a little raw

well the only thing i can think of is to lay down a base for it. like a graham cracker or oreo crust. then pour it in there so that when it does cook it wont stick to the pan. then when they are done let them cool and cut into bars. maybe this will work. its an idea though!
