Do you like Muslim girls wearing scarves?
Its sounds silly, but my husband likes them. According to him it adds strength to their character. Something like that.
A bit jealous, have to admit.. but I want to understand the men psyche and need to know exactly what generally men think about it.
Honest answer plz.
Women can asnwer if they come up with something useful.
Thanks.

Well, men usually don't like being teased.
Many women seem to dress skimpy in public, because she wants to say: "you know you want it, but you can't have it". It comes off as obnoxious, insecure, and a vain attempt to get attention by playing games with the innate sex drive of strangers.
A secure person doesn't need to get that kind of attention in that way.
It isn't really the scarves, it is the general idea of modesty that impresses me. Actually, leaving something to the imagination is mysterious, & thus more sexy, than pure animal attraction (which makes a man feel crude & ashamed of his own feelings).

Well, yeah i like to see Muslim girls in scarves because thats what Islam says when you(girls) go out cover your head and body! If you go out without scarve obviously other men will get to see you which is not good in a religous way.
Usually a muslim man want his wife to be covered her whole body when she goes out because he knows man's psyche, he just wants you to protect from other men! Basically he is telling you that you are only mine! Does my explanation help you somehow?

I'm not saying that this is what your husband meant by "strength of character," but many men seem to have a natural attraction to "pure" women. You can glimpse this in attitudes like "She's not the sort of girl you marry" or "She's not the kind of girl you'd take home to your mother." In many cultures, it's an obsession to marry only a virgin.

To be honest my dear, I like Muslim girls who wear scarves too.
The reason is because usually pretty girls would display their bodies for the boys to get them....beauty is only skin deep though. Even if she's miss universe, I'd hate her if she's a *****.
And ugly girls...well, I hope something would cover them.
But I like Muslim girls who wear scarves, I get to know them as they are, and my mind is not set to something like their bodies or anything, just to get to know them.
So basicly that's it.

I don't have anything against scarves per say but it sounds like it's his thing. I'd prefer to see a girls whole head myself.

Doesn't much matter to me.
Men typically like a little mystery in women. Perhaps the scarf is creating a sense of mystery for your husband.

If you are talking about the total covering, I'm told that Muslim men are taught that they can't be expected to repress their sexual desires. That is why a woman is required to hide the fact that she might be attractive. Sounds weird to me, but then from what I've read about Muhammad...........

Scarves are ugly and they cover up the face. If you are good-looking you should show your face.

All I know is that the female Muslim point of view is that it is to keep strangers from seeing you as a sex object, and direct them towards seeing you as a woman of character.
Most of the muslim women I know personally reject the veil as old fashioned and unnecessary...then again, they are all from India, and wear the traditional Sari instead of Middle Eastern style of dress.
