I make lasagna and freeze it. I also make it up ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until it needs to be baked. Works well. Barilla makes a no cook lasagna noodle which is out of this world! Makes it so easy too. Recipe on back of box.

A standard lasagna recipe is okay to prepare ahead (I have two in the freezer right now). I find it makes reheating it easier if the noodles are cooked before assembling the lasagna.
you may need more noodles for your large pan, but it depends on the size- what do you call large?
I like to make a butternut squash lasanga as a change- with no sauce but layers of BNS, ricotta cheese & shredded cheese (the top I tend to put a little more cheese on) Yummy! You should be able to make this ahead of time (everytime I try to, we eat it right away!)

Sure you can do that. My wife's friend has a recipe where she doesn't even cook the noodles before she puts the lasagna together (sorry, don't have the recipe handy) and she'll do it the day before if she's having company or just wants to have it ready to stick in the oven at a moment's notice. If you have a larger dish you'll probably need more of everything, including noodles. Good luck!

Sure, that's the way I make it, and I use an oversized pan too. I usually buy two boxes of the lasagna noodles in a large pan as well, then put the finished product in the fridge until the next day when the meal is planned, and cook it in the oven then.

Many Italian dishes actually "cure" and are better on day 2 and 3 . . .
I like to cook mine the day before then just reheat it the next day, but prepping and putting it in the fridge is quite good too.
Just use whatever noodles are easy for you to work with.
If they are smaller, just put in more noodles per layer.
And what time is dinner ? Do I need to bring anything ?

I always make mine the night before!! Just get the big box of noodles I usually have leftover noodles even with that! But they're cheap anyways.

In my personal opinion the no bake recipe on the back of the boxes stink so I hope you dont use that one!

Sure you can make it ahead of time, you can even make it ahead and freeze it too. I do alot of casseroles that way and then all I have to do is take it out in the morning to thaw and its ready for the oven that evening. You can use as many noodles as you want or however many layers you want. Good Luck!!

you can add or subtract as much as you want, i always try to use more burger then called for and add a little more brown sugar to the sauce, and double up the amount so that i can freeze some for later
and i don't know how your noodles will do sitting overnight but as long as you kept them covered real well it might be o.k.

Yes. I prefer to do mine this way since the flavors in the sauce and overall dish taste better. Let it cool before you overnight fridge it, covered.
