Doctors tell you it varies from person to person. A growing child needs 10 - 12 hours a night. A teenager sleeps all the time. Adults think they can get by on a few hours but 6-8 hours is optimum

My children go to bed at 9 PM and get up most days at 7 AM. That is 10 hours of sleep for them.

I personally need at least 8 hours of sleep. I LOVE sleep!

8 is recommend. I would prefer 10, but only get about 5 or 6.
