This is when the rescue league is seeing what type of temperment or personality your lab has. These test are done to ensure if they do rehome your dog it will get along with other people ,, animals,,, and children. They want to know if the dog will bite if you feed it and have your hands near the food,,, or if it hears certain noises does it "spook" your dog to a point it will be aggressive. These test are to ensure the safety of not only your dog,,, but whomever would adopt it. Noone wants to adopt a dog that bites,,,or is aggressive toward other pets,,, family members especially children. HOPE this helps you some.

bsicly the dog over all personality, does she bite of mouth, reaction to strangers, jumping up,other people walking her, tacking treats, play well and interacon with other doges, does she like children.these testare done so they can find the best suitable home for your dog!!!! This is really important, new owner and your suit each others needs!!This testis not about you >>>>just fing the prfect home, this is sometimes a little harder ,must people want puppies.(if you have any information on your dog ......breeders whrer did you get her ..all this stuff is vert important to any dog rescue group) Labs are pretty calm dogs, they just seemto be more of the laid back breed,
Hopfully you will not have any promblens ,so just relax. they mustly observe &ask you a couple of routine questions.I just rescued another dog, this one I keeping I just love his personality,my pet I had just lost lost(old age),but I have wonderful dog who is two& needed aolt af work, but now he is Mr.Manners,I take him eveywhere!!

the shelter i volunteer at does this for new arrivals. usually they will check how the dog reacts to approaching strangers, loud noises, sudden surprises (they might pop open an umbrella or something startling like that). they also have a child sized doll to see how the dog reacts to children. they test for food guarding, usually by using a fake hand on a stick and putting it into the dogs bowl while he eats. i think that's about it. if your dog is normal and doesn't show any aggression she should pass easily. she doesn't have to be well trained or anything like that, just not aggressive or overly fearful.

It's just a matter of not having an aggressive dog that will bite when provoked. This is just an assurance for familes with little children. I really wouldn't worry about it unless your lab is aggressive.
