You guys broke up for a reason...remember it.
Nobody changes if they don't want to. If this guy is already showing you signs which are making you doubt your decision...you're not being forced to accept getting back together.
You can just say, "Forget this," and move on. You've already given this guy a try, why not let someone else have a turn...he's bad news and I don't even know him. I'm going by what you say and you don't sound convinced that this is the right thing to do.
Give someone else a try/chance to get to know you.

Well I am glad you are getting back together, but don't rush it! Get to know him again, don't fall back into the same relationship you were in before, if he is really different you will need to get to know him how he is now, and make sure he is right for you.
It's possible he may have changed so much that you two aren't compatible any longer. Treat it as if it is brand new, a guy you don't know and are dating to get to know better.
And if it turns out he isn't what you are looking for, then let him know and move on. Good luck!

Honey, Never go backwards. THere is a reason it did not work out. Let the past lie in the past. I have made that mistake a million times. I would NEVER go back to an ex. People say they have changed and it will be be better and different and it NEVER is. You are already seeing his old crap? Get rid of him girl. Hell Yeah we expect men to change captaz. Most men need to be trained.

you wont know if its the right decision until you see a difference: or not: im in the same situation: but if you really care for this guy give him the chance to prove himself: if not then he doesnt really care much for the relationship. youll have your answer and youll be able to decide to stay or to go: good luck: relationships are so hard :(
